Celebrate the 500-year anniversary of King Henry VIII’s charter to King’s Lynn, which gave the town important new powers and privileges.

See the original document and discover its history.
Learn about the feather quill pens, parchment and ink used to create it.
Have a go at Tudor writing yourself.
Your creation will be added to a special piece of artwork that will be stored in the Borough Archives... forever.
A free visit to Stories of Lynn Museum afterwards is included.
Suitable for ages 8-16. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Workshops include free entry for children aged 8-16, and one accompanying adult per child.

Additional adults can attend for the usual entry fee of £3.95 or £2.95 concessions.

The content of this workshop is aimed at young people aged 8-16. If parents need to bring younger siblings for childcare reasons please note they may find the content too advanced and parents will need to be responsible for these children throughout the workshop duration.
