Learning
School events at Stories of Lynn offer the perfect opportunity to bring the curriculum to life, with the help of our unique collection of historic objects, documents and spaces.
Pupils learn about the past through hands-on and engaging sessions including costumed characters, object handling, storytelling and craft activities.
Stories of Lynn, in collaboration with Norfolk Museums Service, deliver innovative programmes for primary schools; our museum is situated in a historic building with wonderful interactive displays and fascinating collections.
We have a core schools’ programme, with a number of different sessions available. Themes include Crime and Punishment, Witch Trials, Floods and Flooding, Medieval Merchants, Materials Challenge, and local engineer and later Mayor, Frederick Savage.
Some of the sessions will be delivered solely at Stories of Lynn, and some will include elements that will be delivered at Lynn Museum.
We are also able to tailor the sessions to create a bespoke package for your group – please contact our Learning and Engagement Officer for further details or to discuss your requirements.
